Daniel Labaronne, deputy committed to the industry, invited by Caroline Mondon (VISCONTI Partners coach).
Leader of the Industrial Territories initiative, Daniel Labaronne shares a clear vision: to reindustrialize France through territories, by focusing on the alliance between politics, businesses, education and managerial innovation.

Supply Chain Management as a driver of local performance.

What is the Industrial Territories initiative?
A national program launched in 2018 to support reindustrialization, accelerated in 2023 with:
- Of targeted funding
- One reinforced local support
- An innovative device of turnkey industrial sites
Results:
- 183 labelled territories in 18 regions
- 2812 actions undertaken on competitiveness, digital and ecological transition

Why is Grand Est Touraine a pilot territory?
- Exemplary crisis management during Covid
- The creation of a collaborative ecosystem of industrial companies
- An active synergy between businesses, elected officials and schools
- The organization of events to make young people aware of industrial professions
A national first: integrating Supply Chain Management into the Industrial Territories contract
Under the joint leadership of Caroline Mondon and Daniel Labaronne, a dedicated action sheet to Supply Chain Management has been included in the local curriculum.
Objective: to equip companies to strengthen their cash flow, competitiveness and attractiveness.
This action is based on:
- Of Serious Games to train CEOs in a fun and concrete way
- A political will to structure the sector from high school (Bac Pro, BTS, IUT)
- A conviction: to disseminate the best international practices from tech and industry
The role of politics? “Building relationships”
For Daniel Labaronne, the role of politics is to be a weaver, in the Platonic sense: forging relationships, reconciling the social fabric, and bringing together worlds that are too often compartmentalized.
It strives to network the economic, educational, administrative and political world in order to bring about concrete cooperation in the service of territories.
What we remember from this collective trajectory
- One pragmatic reindustrialization, rooted in local realities
- One thought leadership, capable of aligning economic ambitions and social innovation
- One concrete impulse, duplicable in the 183 labelled territories
And now?
Three tips for CEOs in industrial areas:
- Get closer to your deputy to initiate similar actions on Supply Chain Management.
- Collaborate with Visconti coaches to benchmark and adopt international best practices.
- Form your executive committee and map your flows to improve cash flow, performance and attractiveness.
In Touraine, a model was born. It's up to you to adapt it in your territory.
